Despite not being a fan of MD's entire MVA system, I have to say this location is amazing. Relatively quick service on a Saturday and really fast on weekdays. Everyone is friendly and helpful from the greeter to the employees you actually interact with. It's worth the drive to not have to go to my local MVA office!
Having moved to Maryland from another state I have to give kudos to the Elkton MVA staff for their professionalism and businesslike manner. The staff while never over friendly in all occasions have treated me courteously and with prompt service....thank you
My other MVA experiences have been less than pleasant, but this was amazing! Mike helped me change my license over from NY to MD and it was quick. The only issues were the credit card machines were down so I had to go pull cash from an ATM, but the representatives held the spots for my boyfriend and I so we could pay the fee and leave quickly. My only other issue is the fee was $72 to change from an out of state to MD whereas it was only $50 to do so in NYC.
I was at the DMV in Elkton on 9/18/17 around 11:30 AM and a front desk staff (dark hair in her old 50's was there). In front of me another person in which in my opinion she was very rude saying "I don't trust you ... you need paper". Then, with me she was also very rude, arrogant and unpleasant. In my opinion, this staff particularly needs to be re-placed ....in a position in which she does not interact with people, since she does not have the fit. The supervisory committee in Elkton should really pay attention to what customers are saying and really take those individuals to a a course on how to professionally treat customers or completely replace it, since we the customers are paying for their salaries. Very sad treatment.
Went on a Monday morning to renew my license. The staff was pleasant, wait time wasn't bad at all. I was in-and-out in under thirty-minutes, and it was quite busy. Definitely made the dreaded trip to the MVA a tad more bearable. Only complaint I have...the blue cloth seats/chairs in the waiting area, are filthy. I'm serious, they're nasty! Looks like, they've not seen a good cleaning in years, if ever. Avoid wearing light-colored clothing, no telling what kind of funk is creeping around on those chairs.
